EVERY STORY HAS ITS HERO AND THERE COMES LIGO........

LIGO- LASER INTERFEROMETER FOR GRAVITATIONAL OBSERVATION, IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE WORLD'S MOST SENSITIVE DETECTOR EVER BUILT. THOUGH THE WORLD HAS MADE MANY SENSITIVE DETECTORS LIKE LHC, BICEPS, ICECUBE ETC... LIGO TOPS ALL OF THEM AS IT DETECTED GRAVITATIONAL WAVES, WAVES WHICH ARE SENSITIVE THAT EVEN WE WHISPER IT ESCAPE OUR SIGHT OF VIEW.

LIGO WAS BUILT BETWEEN 1994-2002 AND IT WAS RUN IN THE YEAR 2002. LIGO RECEIVED A NOBLE PRIZE IN PHYSICS IN THE YEAR 2017 FOR GRAVITATIONAL WAVE DETECTION.

LIGO OBSERVATORIES ARE LOCATED IN LIVINGSTONE AND HANFORD. THERE IS A IN-PROGRESS LIGO DETECTOR IN INDIA.

THE MECHANISM OF LIGO IS QUITE INTERESTING, YET DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND.
