THE RIPPLE MAKER- GRAVITATIONAL WAVES
Gravitational Waves are ripples in space and time created by the release of a large amount of energy. That energy can be produced in numerous ways, like when two black holes merge or where one neutron star collides with another. That energy also has the potential to be created simply by having a neutron star that isn’t perfectly shaped or a pulsar(a neutron spinning at insane speeds). At least the ones we try to detect are. In reality, any object in acceleration creates Gravitational waves, but their waves are so small that it’s almost impossible to detect them.

IMPORTANCE OF GRAVITATIONAL WAVES
Gravitational Waves really show us the impressive strides science has done thanks to technological advancements. Also, they permit us to deepen our understanding of the universe and its fabric.
For example:
The first pulsar ever to be discovered was in Puerto Rico, by two scientists using the “Arecibo Radio Observatory”. It is also the first time that gravitational waves were proven.
